So where's everyone's fav. place to shop for Halloween stuff? I certinaly like Big Lot's. There's so much there through out the year you can use for your haunt. Like last week I was there, they had these huge spring garden things that look like you could use as a cemetary gate door. They were mafe of great metal.

I don't have a Big Lots here. But my favorite place is Spencers. They have the best props. When I went down to Minneapolis there were some great little stores, and I got to go to Spirit.

to bad we don't have the Big lot store here too but the one i discover last year was Party Packager a lot of stuff for the party and costume not a lot of big props (animated one) but the only thing is it took them a while to put everything in place in the store and not long to take it out . Michaels is not bad but not cheap either oh don't forget the dollars store...

I'll always have a special spot in my heart saved for Michael's because they always seem to be the first store to get Halloween goodies on their shelves. The one in my area begins getting stuff in at the beginning of August! But I'm in agreement with others, the cheaper stores do seem to have the best variety for the best prices.

O.K. so i love Michaels but don;t forget they always have the 40% off coupon. I get everyone here at work to give me there's from August to October. They come in the mail at least twice a month. So I get about 12 here at work every month. I use one on each item. Save big bucks that way. Also I love the flea markets as well as the good will stores.

we used to have a big lots and a party store, and it was awesome, went out of business. we don't have a spencers, spirits or a micheals. the dollar stores here don't carry much, some not at all, and they seem to come and go pretty fast. around halloween time wal-mart and target in mason city, and k-mart in charles city. i love good wills, junk stores, but most of alll garage sales. i go into globe gazette on the net, and pull up their garage sale listings for local areas. we hit the ones that list halloween related items first. we are having a late winter here so the garage sales aren't on yet. i can't wait.

Yea-Big Lots and Walgreen's. For post-Halloween sales I'd say Walgreen's and K-mart. K-mart is great when they mark down all the Halloween stuff to 90% off. (Usually about 2 weeks after Halloween.) I bought roughly $120.00 worth of stuff for $12.00 this past year.
