Hi,
Sorry I haven't posted in a while.
I was sick and had bladder surgery 2/5.
Still on bed rest, but feeling stronger each day.
My 16 year old worked her first Halloween House in October.
She is active in drama and loves anything Gothic.
The folks were so impressed with her acting & ideas.
They asked her to be on the writer's committee this year
for next years haunt!
She could get a lot of ideas here from your amazing site.
I was also asked to be part of the grand finale. She told them I
have antique Victorian mourning clothes.
They want me to come dressed in my finest black Widow Weeds.
It should be fun!

what a great thing for your daughter1 She must be very creative. And it sounds fun for you too, being able to go in your mourning dress, I also love the victorian era. SO glad you are feeling better!
I have flying monkeys- and I'm not afraid to use them!

Very good to hear that you're on the mend, Victoriana, and it's a pleasure to meet you...you must be so proud of your daughter, what a fun project to work on together! I hope our kids fall in love with Halloween as well one day.
Please keep us posted on the progress of your haunt together!

Great to hear you are doing well after your surgery! All things Goth are quite intriguing to me as well. If she wants to "set the mood", so to speak, I highly recommend this old 80s goth band called Concrete Blonde. Tell your daughter to get the album called "Bloodletting"; very haunting with amazing lyrics. My particular favorite on that album is the title track.
"He has my father's eyes."
"Gomez, take those out of his mouth!"
