Well, I shouldn't have done it. We really couldn't afford it. Had to put it on credit card. Buuuuutttt....
Last week a guy posted "Ton of Halloween stuff for sale-$1000" on Craigslist. So I HAD to check it out. So, today, for the haggled price of $800, I got:
A casket-missing the good liner, but hey...so is my other one.
A handmade toe pincher with pneumatic jumper-plug and play.
A 7 foot tall pvc cage with monster that shakes the bars. This is really nice...not that hard a build after I see it, but WELL made, built in strobes and sound too. Also plug and play.
A mostly finished Electric chair. Very solid, needs a little more work( and pants) to make the man move and shake.
Several store bought electronic monsters-sort of like the butler and heads up harry...a reaper, a zombie and Freddy. Missing power cords, hopefully I'll find in the other stuff.
A kicking body bag.
Several body forms of varying quality.
A bucky skeleton.
A big latex demon.
Several boxes of varied costumes, deco and electronics.
There is supposed to be a clown creature reacher costume, but its missing...hes supposed to look for it. The is alas, one of those apparently losing his house and must get rid of stuff.
I also had fun in transporting the stuff...since the bucky was in the casket, I couldn't resist letting his hand hang out the lid as the casket rode in my trailer.
Then I shut a rubber hand in the van tailgate, and the demon was riding atop at the trailer front. Pics of the cage, and the trailer are at http://www.flickr.com/photos/hamishtmd/

oh my goodness, that would have been a riot to haul. i bet you got the looks!!!!!!!!!!!! what a great find. to bad for the guy selling, after all he was all right in my books. but one has got to do what he has got to do. anyway, halloween should be really sweet this year with what i saw. have fun!

Anyone like the cutesy deco?
I got a box of ceramic knick knacks with it, I plan to sell off. I also got a bunch of orange and purple light strings I doubt I want. I'm still going thru the misc boxes...I'll post when I'm done and give you guys first stab at anything I don't want. I don't know for sure, but I'll probably sell the Freddy Kruger animation. I don't generally do movie scenes, not my style.

What a haul, congrats on your score, granamyr. I wish I could've seen you going down the street with that grin. I'm sure you're explanation to anyone who asked was 'Tis the Season!'. LOL.
