It's not really the right place to post this, but I wanted my post could be see by as much members as possible ! ( I'm also not sure my sentence is grammatically correct...)
Well I know there is a lot of people working in FX and special Make Up for movies hiding on the forum. SO LISTEN UP you talented and creative people!
I would like to start my make up man "career", I'm am reaaaaalllly motivated but unfortunately I don't know HOW to begin...
First of all I would ask what do I need? what tools, what make up (and which colors), what kind of equipment ? Is there good books were the basics are explained?

I agree with Scare Shack.
I have talked with Rob at BodyBagging, and he was very helpful and answered all of my questions.
As a matter of fact he has a dvd coming out you might be interested in.

Dr. Z, I too am new to the world of FX and love experimenting with it. I hope to hone my skills as time goes on. I have the basic make up kit assembled which consists of : several tubes of various colors of creme make up (which I find the easiest to work with), a color tower of a combo creme/powder make up (really easy to apply and creates awesome effects), grease paint crayons, various make up brushes, sponges (especially the stippling ones), several tubes of theatrical blood, baby powder, face powder, concealer, eye shadow in varying shades, lipstick, q-tips, toothpicks, and liquid latex. Perhaps this will give you an idea to start with in assembling your own kit.
Please post pics of your make up effects if you can. Once I get my zombie make up presentable enough I will post pics. As Dr. Z said, any advice anyone has for beginners will be much appreciated."Look what your brother did to the door!" Original TCM

Thank you very much Bodybagging! I tried to send you a private message, but I met an error message telling me that you have to clear some space on your message board to receive new messages...
Mrs. Leatherface, thank you too for helping me I really appreciate! Of Course before I post this thread, I made some research by my own, and I found some cool links and tutorials, would you like I post it there ?
