Right now on Woot. They are Sansa players, and are pretty good for the money. (10 bucks each)

    $5 shipping.

    D'OH!

You beat me to it. LOL!

I got 4 ( two 2-packs). Should make for some good, decentralized ambient sound next Halloween.

    Wilbret,
Thanks - I just order a two pack also! Almost too good to pass up.

    Wilbret,
I just got an email that my two pack is being shipped. I can't wait. This does open the opportunity for more sound areas that don't require a stereo or CD player. Oh no - my cube is filling with smoke. I must be thinking too much!

I didn't order any, but I wanted to share the info since I know people are always looking for cheap mp3 players.

Hope it works out for ya. I have one of these and it is very durable. I can't bring myself to pay for an ipod when any mp3 player will work.

I'm on the other end of the spectrum. I have an iPod for daily life. I love having all my music in my pocket, along with movies and pictures. But everybody's needs and desires are different. What works for me, doesn't necessarily work for somebody else.

I'd certainly never use it outside for the haunt. Though my old one was playing the background music from indoors last year and likely will again.

But these little guys will be perfect for the haunt. Small and cheap. No worries about them breaking or >eep!< getting stolen (which is highly unlikely in my area). As I mentioned above, they'll be great for scattering sounds around the haunt. I owe HalloweenBob for getting me thinking in that direction.

Now to hunt down some cheap battery powered computer speakers...

I bought two sets of RCA wireless speakers for like $40-50 on ebay. They can be battery or AC powered, and they rock!

I have them all over the house now during the off season.
