No more seasonal fun for a looong time. Sure, we'll have some stuff up for the other holidays, but no real decorating until October!

I feel your pain wilbret, just got finished packing all my stuff up as well. Oh well, untill October then!!!
As darkness falls, the path ahead becomes veiled in gloom. A jack-o-lantern shines through the night. It's horrible visage serves two fold. To keep wickedness at bay, and remind travelers their fate, if they wander off the path.

I promised my canary, Shakespeare, that we would get the tree down today so he could come back into the living room. Looks like it will be tomorrow if he's "lucky". But it will definitely be done by Valentines Day.

I gladly dragged out the tree after the 27th. My lights are still up, but if the weather behaves itself tomorrow, I'll happily get them down. I'm not bummed, though! Why? Because I FINALLY got my workspace in my basement put together! Meaning, I can get to making awful, horrible things for Halloween yet again! Since I moved to Colorado last October, I didn't get anything done. I have about 6 bluckies that are awaiting that magic touch! The guy I made year before last needs friends!

Well Spookzilla, technically my canary is a wasser schlager (water slogger), which is a German variety of canary-like bird that is white and has a different kind of song. His name is Shakespeare because when we bought him from the breeder he was bird number 2B. How could we pass that opportunity for a name.
It really isn't really necessary to take down your lights. The make good plant supports or trellises for morning glory. Leaving them up could lead to a whole new look for your Halloween display. See, no hurry at all!

i put mine up the other day, it was sad. my little one watches the polar express everyday, and i mean it's on repeat from the time she gets up until she goes to bed, so christmas is still with us. LOL, and you know what, i'm really not sick of the movie yet. it has grown on me and there is so much symbolism and hidden meaning and i just love it!
aww, a canary named shakespeare! now that's just cute!

Woe is me. I'm too sad to take down the tree today.
The deer came right up on my back porch and ate the black pansies I was saving for seeds to put in my Halloween window boxes. Time for a new plan. Do deer taste like chicken?
