As a child he terrified me, and even now when we splits apart at the seams and all the bugs fall out... *shivers* Good grief!

That music was the best. I have the soundtrack on cassette. No way to play it though.

Come on Magickbean, Woogie Boogie got the rhythm ! Someone who sing so good cannot be 100% evil...
And insects they are sooooo useful! How will my useless corpses disappear from my yard (the one behind my secret lab...) without 'em?

I, too love the classic Universal monsters, but for a pure bone-chilling, gut wrenching, terror-inspiring villan, I'd have to say:

Hannibal Lector (as played by Anthony Hopkins)

Now THAT is one scary dude. No makeup, no computer-graphic special effects, but I'm tellin' ya....he can make my blood run cold

MHooch - Hannibal Lector is one of my fave (non-animated) movie villains.. and Anthony Hopkins is a legend

I agree! The "Halloween" theme along with the music from the movie really helped give it that creepy vibe. I was watching a show on AMC not too long ago about what a truly important role music plays in movies and television shows....anything other than that menacing music played when Michael Myers appears just wouldn't be the same!

I agree completely. I think it takes a special talent to direct and compose music for the same movie. And the music just seemed to fit in every scene it was used in.

I have also got to go with Micheal Myers on this one.

Always remember watching the original when I was a wee boy and the music more than anything scared the B-Jesus out of me.

I am maybe going to upset some people here but I thought Rob Zombies Halloween was actually better to the original, more blood, more guts, more graphic scenes seem to float my boat.
