Well, how ever it happens just be assured that whenever I'm online I'll try to make it a point to be in the chat room as well and I'll help in anyway I can to those that are in need.

We must remember that we have members all over the world in different time zones.
The OFFICIAL time zone of the forum is Pacific Time.
Pacific time eh? That puts me 18 hours ahead. An example: 6pm pacific time will be 12pm (noon) my time. Which is not really a problem, when you figure on a time, I will be there. I'm flexiable like that.
Perhaps instead of asking when everyone can participate (that won't happen due to time zones, work and family committments etc.), several different times throughout the day and week are set up, so that even if you can't do one, others might be feasible. As mentioned, we have people here from almost every time zone.
I have been on several forums where no one could agree on one set time, so chat sessions never happened. Perhaps if some people want to lead a discussion on a particular subject, they might post a date and time (maybe two different times) and those that want to learn/discuss that subject, say pneumatics, FCG or whatever can show up.
If that idea sounds good, perhaps Larry could make a sticky post somewhere where these particular discussions can be announced. But believe me when I say just asking for the best times for chat will never work.
I have to somewhat agree with you as we have attempted this before for this site and others.
There are many enhancements planned in the future for this site. I will keep in mind that we need to make it easy to see when there is a chat or going to be a chat.
I will sticky this post to get more feedback.

I think it would be very interesting to have designated chats about certain subjects, although I am in the UK and as such have found that activity only starts to pick up at this time of night for me (2:17am!) lol
