Sorry for my long abscents, but I was fighting an illness that I hope I have finally defeated. But enough of that, As always I am looking for some special help. In 2008 I am not doing one haunted trail, but two. I have been very lucky the last several years and have had a Univ.of Toledo faternity help by being actors. My fear is that I may not always have them, altough they are not the only actors I have. What I wanted to know if anyone con direct me to a good book or site that I can learn about building animated props. I am fairly handy, but just don't understand the switching on and off and how to control the tome or things like that. Hope ypu can help. Thanks, Rick

Welcome back rick. There are a few sites I got to that list tons of projects.
http://www.hauntproject.com/projdeta...category=Top10
http://www.halloweenmonsterlist.info/
Hope these help you out.As darkness falls, the path ahead becomes veiled in gloom. A jack-o-lantern shines through the night. It's horrible visage serves two fold. To keep wickedness at bay, and remind travelers their fate, if they wander off the path.

Somebody told me this was a good book:
Amazon.com: Animatronics: Guide to Holiday Displays: Books: Edwin Wise
If you like to read and need a book,it might be worth buying.
Everything I ever learned was here or hauntforum, mostly people linking to sites like the monsterlist. The Interweb has everything - usually several. I like to take pieces from projects that I like, combine them and make my own modifications.
Tell us what you want to build and we can direct you to some great sites. There may be how-to's on this site already!

Wilbert, I have that book and it is okay, but I need a lot of help with the triggering. It is extremely dark on the trails I haunt and I think it may cause trouble.
