Ripley's Haunted Adventure in San Antonio, TX? I'll be there next month and wonder if it's worth seeing.

I've been to Ripley's Haunted Adventure in Gatlinburg, TN. It was pretty good. It has been 6 or 7 years since I've been though, so I can't really remember the price. In my opinion, the best part was the "barker". It was set up to look like he was coming out of a crate....and missing his lower half! He was picking on the tourists that were walking by, calling them chicken and making fun of the way they looked, so he really stood out in my mind.

I've seen that Ripley's in Gatlinburg too. Never went in as it was always really crowded. Then again, what part of Gatlinburg isn't crowded?

no, but i've been to the one in gatlinburg, TN and it was so scary! i actually have a funny story to go along with it:

i went in with my mom and dad and my dad had been wearing a kind of old, worn out t-shirt and you had to walk through in a single file line and there were about 15 people going through, the last person was actually this lady on crutches with a broken leg and a huge cast on it! anyways we all voted my dad to lead the way because he looks very intimidating to some, i went second and my mom behind me. my mom was so scared, she kept pulling my dads t-shirt all the way around me and over her head! LMAO! she kept stepping on the bottom of my pants too. keep in mind that you have your hand on the shoulder of the person in front of you, we were flying through that thing, we were so scared and we must have been dragging the lady with the broken leg through there. anyway, when we come to the end, a man with a chainsaw came right toward us and my mom grabbed my dads t-shirt for the last time and ran to the exit door and karate kicked it open! when we finally get out to where its light again, my pants were ripped up to my knee and my dads t-shirt was ripped in half only still attached to the ring collar!LMAO! this would be alot funnier if i was actually telling you in person and you knew my parents!

, HAHAHAHAHA, Kallie, that's hilarious! Glad to know your Mom could hold her own if Leatherface came after her, although it sounds like she would've left y'all in the dust..('well I'm outta here, hope y'all can keep up!!' ). At least she tried to bring you guys with her via your dad's shirt. We've been to the Ripley's Haunted Adventure in Gatlinburg too, but I don't have any cool stories like that to share.

laurie, you aint heard nothin yet! hehe, i'm one of those people that always has something crazy happen, or some crazy person is drawn to me to tell all their craziness! one of my favorites was when i was in HS, me and my best friend used to ride the city bus all over just to go somewhere and this old drunkard got on and the bus took off before he sat down and he fell on top of me, face to face, our noses were pretty much touching! and my mom is the same way, i have a good story of something that happened to her, but i'll wait for another time!

Those are great stories!!! They made me loff!
I've never been to any of those kinds of places... Ripley's; House of wax... I don't even get to many haunted houses anymore. I haven't been to one in years. It's not that I don't wanna go... Bah! I don't have any excuses. I just don't go.
