I started this thread at the other place......(might be under OEJ's name, I think, but trust me, it's mine, heehee, I did a lot of standing over his shoulder, oh post this! Post that!) Anyway, I thought it would be a good topic here.

My faves are witches and black cats. I looooooooooooooove, love black cats. I used to have one, but she died just before I moved. I don't like all witches and black cats though just because of what they are. I'm really picky.

I'm all about the pumpkins and ghosts and in any way, shape or form! I also enjoy the "pumpkinhead" like characters too, our neighbors had a great one this year, scarecrow body...pumpkinhead with an evil grin, it was fantastic.
I came here to chew bubble gum and kick ass. I'm all out of bubble gum.

Dr. Loomis: "As a matter of fact...that was."

When I think of Halloween, graveyards filled with ghouls and skeletons come to mind. Tombstones on a dark night, fog creeping throught the air, ghouls lurking in and out of the night, with skeletons bursting from the ground, groaning and reaching for you, very Iconic!!
As darkness falls, the path ahead becomes veiled in gloom. A jack-o-lantern shines through the night. It's horrible visage serves two fold. To keep wickedness at bay, and remind travelers their fate, if they wander off the path.

Tombstones and graveyards are SO cool! Basically, graveyards scare the crap out of me, but I did used to like walking through the really old ones and reading the graves. If I had the money, I'd love to buy up a bunch of flowers to leave at the graves because I don't want anyone to be forgotten.

oooooooh yes, we have the creepiest of cemeteries here in town, about as old as our town itself, located on a massive hill---lots of masoleums built into the hillside, early 1800's tombstones, and gnarled oak trees about....very, very interesting to tour...it is very creepy though, makes you check over your shoulder often and sometimes causes me goosebumps. But, that's the perfect Halloween feel!

My very favorite Halloween icons are the pumpkins and jack'o'lanterns, always loved them!!! Love collecting them!! A candle's flicker in your lovingly carved jack'o'lantern on the porch offers the perfect welcoming for any Halloween visitors. Yep, I told Kallie if I ever got a tattoo it would probably be a jack'o'lantern.

I have no particular Halloween icon because love everything in Halloween!
I guess it's in my blood, (in Italian my name means "pumkin")...

we've got a wonderful cemetary here in lexinton KY. it is the first and i think it's been around since the late 1700's. it is awesome. when ever i go on a date, that's the place i ask that he take me, for a nice walk and chat!

anyway, it's so hard to choose my favorite halloween icon, but i think that i'm going to go with jack o lanterns, bubbly caudrons with a good fire underneath and skeletons hanging in a spooky tree! oh yeah and candy corn, i don't like the way they taste, but i like the way they look in a decorative jar.
