I have myself a fractured foot. I apparently fractured it on Nov 2. We didnt know that till Nov 15. I am now in a cast a laid up for a while. Right around the holidays, no early morning shopping for me. On the bright side, at least I made it through the real "holiday" that would have been a bummer if it would have happened before Halloween!

I broke my pinky toe 2 years ago 1 day before we left on our Christmas vacation to the mountains. Never having broken a bone or even having had a fracture, I just thought it was a REALLY bad toe stub. Until the area started turning lovely shades of blue and purple...12 hours in a car with my foot up. FUN!!!! Of course, due to Murphy's Law, everyone on the trip managed to step on me at least once.

When I was a kid, I fractured my foot playing 'king of the pool' (kiddie pool)
No one wanted to believe it was broken. Did everything they could to 'trick' me onto walking on it. After a week of torture, my dad finally took me to the doctor. Ended up in a cast for most of the rest of the summer. Well except for that one day of freedom I had when they had to replace the cast because I went swimming in it (it wasn't a water proof cast) lol I still remember how nice it was to scratch that leg and foot!! It was heaven.

    Heal quickly!

I feel for you Scorpio.....I had that snowboarding accident in my shower sometime in Sept. its taking forever to heal but for close to 6 weeks I could not pick anything up off the floor. Its better now but still hurts if I walk to much. Wish you the best & try to give it time to heal.

    Scorpio,
I hope your foot is feeling better soon! I fractured my foot during Halloween Horror Nights back in 2002....was in a walking cast for about a month and I remember how badly that hurt. I can sympathize with ya sweetie! (Nothing that a few beers can't help...LOL) Just relax and let your foot heal, I tried to do too much too soon and let me tell ya, that hurt almost as bad as the actual fracture! Take care of yourself!
I came here to chew bubble gum and kick ass. I'm all out of bubble gum.
