Is anyone still having Halloween withdrawals? How are you dealing with it? I had to find something non-alloween to kind of cure the post season blues. We repainted a couple of rooms in our house just to have a project to keep us busy and distracted. I'm just not ready to make the switch over to that other holiday yet!

I still have with drawls from time to time. Halloween has been my favorite holiday since I was five years old.
I usually listen to halloween sound effects or music when I'm on the board or chatting to friends online.
I've also been playing a few video games, thats creepy. One is Alice Mcgees and Luigi's Mansion. You have to suck up ghosts with a vacuum, it's pretty creepy when you're playing it late at night.
Then I'm always on the look out for some new halloween props online.

YES! I don't know what to do with my time anymore, in the months before halloween there was always a prop or decoration to work on, now nothing. I would normally garden in my spare time but now it is too cold to plant anything. Yesterday I got out my sketch book and starting drawing layout ideas for next year, so that made me feel better. I feel I could start making props tomorrow and still not have enough time by next Halloween, that and my family would be very irriated if I started already. I just finished putting away everything from this year...

I don't have Halloween withdrawals because Halloween never ends in our house. We're always planning and making new props. As I type this, I have two props under way and two prop repairs...
1) Vines for our haunted pumpkin patch for next years kiddie walk-through.
2) corpsifying a blucky
3) repairing our 3' flying bat (it's a slipped gear thing, I think).
4) repairing a set of pop-out/folding demon wings.
And there's much much much more on the to-do list. Halloween never ends in our house.**********

I hang out here and that takes care of any sort of withdrawal I may have. I also search through the internet looking for deals. And I need to do repairs to a torso I made. The seam on the bottom of the jeans split and I have to sew it back up.
Oh, and seeing pictures and videos of people's haunts always makes me happy."He has my father's eyes."
"Gomez, take those out of his mouth!"

Well technically we have 11 months before Halloween 08, so that should give you plenty of time to get things made up.in the months before halloween there was always a prop or decoration to work on,
For me? I like to go back and read some of the older posts in the prop forum. It gives me some idea's about what I would want to make next year for my garage haunt. : )

I work on repairing minor parts of my props that are worn out or need adjustment. And I plan new props for next year and start gathering supplies for them.
I also run a fixed position, black and white security camera on Halloween night. It's fun to watch the videotape and catch things/people I might have missed.

I had bad withdrawls Monday as I was scooting the Halloween decorations over and pulling out the Christmas decorations At the same time, I also despised the fact that these two holidays are too close together. For heavens sake,,,I just put the halloween stuff away. I wanted a little break from decorations for awhile.
I am still working on tombstones and skeletons and a paper mache mask for next year though...Why rule the living when you can control the dead.

Like others, I'm already working on next year's props.. Animatronics is going to be a big part of next years haunt... talking, singing, dancing pirate skellys and as I'm a noob in that field I wanted to get into it early to give me time to learn the field.. plus the technology can be used for Christmas(Jack Skellington)..
