I have noticed that as I build my haunt the police always stop when they get to my house every time. most people slow down the first couple of days but he police stop every time. Does anyone else notice this, or know why it happens.
It can not be that my haunt is ofensive scince the front only has a stone facade, and a cemetery. Everything else is in the haunt itself.

their looking if you burried real corpses maybe in your cemetery ???? haha just kidding....

they just drive and stop to look at it ? did they ever told you they got complaints ? are you building something that does not complie with te city regulations ? like fence ,walls ? maybe their just checking for that or if your haunt is safe like nothing close to power lines etc ?

are they eating donuts while admiering your display maybe ????

next time just ask them , i wouldnt mind , i would apreciate it maybe it keeps the thieves and vandals away by them patroling your place and stoping in front of your house ?

They should not have to look for hazards. The building departments comes out and looks.

They might be trying to see if the person walking around in your yard is actually you or a vandal...I would thank them myself for keeping an eye on things.

It could be as simple as they like Halloween, or that working 12 hour days leaves you bored and looking for anything interesting.

I was delivering some cornstalks one day, mind you illegally parked, truck still running though. A police stopped. Two years ago I had many of my masks stolen and I reported it. He asked me if I had anything stolen last year or this year. No I told him. He said that they have my house pinpointed down at the station are making it part of the routes. I thanked him for that.

Is it the same officers? I work in Law Enforcement and if we see a house that catches our eye, we send everybody to look at it. If I saw someone building a haunt in my beat, I would swing by regularly to see if anything new had been put out.
