...and it looks like I need to turn my attention to other home projects for a bit! I do have 4 new big-type props written down in draft and a few smaller side items I thought of during this years haunt but looks like I need to put them on ice for a while, looks like I have new things to build..... "If you could build all these moving, jumping, and smoking Halloween props then you could build 2 new closets and redo 2 bathrooms". I think I must have over did it! Oh well, anyone know of a good home-remodeling forum??? haha

Oh, no...reality has set in!!! Somehow making the moving, jumping and smoking stuff is sooo much more exciting then the closets and the bathrooms. Though I wouldn't object to someone building me some bookcases.....

I have just the opposite problem. I asked my dh when he was going to finish up with the bathroom remodel and he said I thought you would do it since your so handy with the tools. Somehow it just wasn't as much fun as prop building though.

Haha... kinda the same here, except it's me telling myself. I work from home, so I have time to ponder this stuff.

I painted the nursery this week, and have begun the arduous process of making space to combine an office/scrapbook room with a bedroom. My wife has as much craft stuff as I have halloween and tools...

I got the same thing.. "Now that Halloween is over, finish the floors, baseboards and fix the running toilets, THEN you clean out the garage, I want to park in it again!"

"But honey, I have Nightmare Before Christmas to build!!"

"FORGET IT!! You had your fun, now you work!!"

    Yaahhhh, crack that whip....

Ouch... I send my sympathies. I can see that i am not the only one that sees those kinds of reqeusts for house work. I too have fences to put up, swing sets to build, garden to fix, etc. It seems my 'honey-do-list' is as long as the days till next Halloween! AAAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHH!!

Ha, yeah the whip comes out! I have the scar marks on my back too! ha. Really though,I can't complain . She has been great(!) and puts up with all my Halloween projects, tools out everywhere, stored scrap and everything else. She is even getting more and more into it as well. Guess that is going to cost me a bathroom or two, ha.

Same here. I highly doubt I'll be getting to anything new this year.

I've been informed we're redoing the entire upstairs. New floors, new paint, refinish the kitchen cabinets...

Even the budget is getting axed, since doing all that means tearing apart my aquarium (80 gallon). Which means I'll be spending my money on restocking that rather than on Halloween this year. Maybe buy/build a new aquarium stand while I'm at it. That's ok, I like the fish as much as Halloween anyway. Just they're normally stable and not requiring me to put money into it.

Same for me. I tried to explain my drive and creativity only works on sinister things, and who wants a sinister bathroom? Apparently I'm wrong....

I've always had a sinister bathroom, well, just mold and mildew... does that count
