Help me out gd's from our southern states. If I was to do a swamp "room" what would I need, minus the water. I have some shrunken heads so I will incorporate a voodoo scene, then take them through some wiches maybe, end of scene would be Jason in the woods. anything else for the swamp.

Well, first you need to decide what you're wanting to do.

More Hollywood style 'voodoo', or more authentic, or somewhere in between.

For Hollywood style, I suggest going and renting "The Serpent and the Rainbow". If you have it, the Chiller network also replays "Night Gallery", which has a fair few episodes dealing with voodoo. "White Zombie" has some good stuff you can put to use. I'm sure there's some others I can't think of right now. And good ole scooby doo. Can't forget that.

For more authentic twists, The History channel/discovery/science/etc. has a series "Taboo" that sometimes references Voodoo, there's also occasionally a special on it that was produced in '05, iirc. And there's a couple series that go around hunting bigfoot and the like. Often they are taken to out of the way places, and in contact with witchdoctors. "Going Tribal" sometimes has good source material. "Last one Standing" as well.

But, in general, the most important pieces, in my mind would be:

The voodoon preist/witchdoctor, and his hut.

The altar, of which can take on just about any connotation you want.

As for more stuff from the swamp:

    Creature from the black lagoon?
    Swamp thing
    Headhunters
    snakes
    werewolf could work there
    Bigfoot

Swamp must-haves: Gators; snakes; frogs; lots of Spanish moss; large, intimidating birds; some dilapidated shacks (if you have the space, place them in the distance and that way you don't have to use full size ones; a sort of optical illusion, if you will); broken flat-bottom skiffs; abandoned fishing poles with old-fashioned creels next to them (place speakers with the sound of flies buzzing inside the creels to make it seem as if flies are swarming over dead fish); spiderwebs; speakers with banjo music playing.....

No I don't have the room this would be in my garage which is a single car garage, We would make it a winding maze. Now, I dont want the whole garage to be a "swamp" or woods or what have you. I want some other "Room scenes" if you will. I could live with half of it though.
What is "White Zombie" is it a movie?

White Zombie is a movie; a pretty old one, too, if I remember correctly.
If you're going for a smaller scale, I would make a little corner with an altar with some Spanish moss, a couple of skulls marked up with random symbols, assorted swamp creatures, heads on the stakes, couple of bones strewn around with some shells and/or feathers and a smoking cauldron.

Yes, White Zombie is an old black and white movie, back in the day when they had *real zombies* in the movies. (ones made from voodoo magic, not some strange thing bringing everyone back from the dead) But the setting and props used are easy to recreate. It plays on AMC or TCM quite often, and I believe is in the 50 horror movie pack that's out there.

You could get cammo netting at your local Army/Navy Surplus store and hang it on the walls and from the ceiling....with green or Blue lights, it will look real swampy!
