For years I have been using 2 stacked pallets as haunt walls. After years of nailing them together and pulling them apart, and dragging them around I decided that I will not stack the pallets anymore. Instead I want to build the lower section of wall out of pallets. Then I want to add somthing On top of that to make the upper wall. does anyone know what I could use.
Build it and they will come.

I was thinking of foam board but I worry about people falling through it. Ply wood is to exspensive. on top of some pallets I am going to use 3 ft chain link fence. to give my haunt an asylum feel.
Build it and they will come.

I got lucky this year. For the last 3 years I had been using appliance boxes as walls, not so durable. This summer Menards was selling their haunted house that they did in the store. $75 roll of carpet, roll of black plastic, 20 panels, 20 frames made into 4ft wide, and 8 ft wides. What a blessing.

When we made the pirate ship for our haunted trail, we mainly used pallets ourselves. We broke them down and made wall sections, that we held together with lag bolts. That made it eaiser to move it from our hanger to the trail. If you have access to pallets, ever think of dismanteling them and assembling them into wall sections.

As darkness falls, the path ahead becomes veiled in gloom. A jack-o-lantern shines through the night. It's horrible visage serves two fold. To keep wickedness at bay, and remind travelers their fate, if they wander off the path.

I lost count on how many pallets we actually used (at least 20+). Each wall is 2 sections bolted together (one on top of the other). With the inner walls inplace, it was sturdy enough to stand by itself, on level ground. Hope the pics help out, Haverghast.

I used large cardboar sheets that I get from Lowes at no charge. These sheets are 8'x8' and are used in these delivery trucks that come from their distribution centers. Our store getsatleast1 of these sheets everyday. They are much thicker then the standard cardboard. I secure them to 2x3s using button cap nails that roofers use to hold down felt paper.

When I built a haunt in my garage in 2006, I screwed all the pallets together to make the sturdy, bottom half of the walls, and I used PVC pipe attached to the top of the pallets and then covered in black plastic...that was a home haunt and it worked great for me...

I then worked for a haunt this past season who did the same thing, except, instead of PVC they used 2x2's...
