I am going to do a western "Scene" next year. So I am looking for all cowboy costumes, props, and masks. Any help or point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. There is a Barry Hung mask out there I know FC carries it but it goes for I think $49.99 Ouch I dont want to pay that much for a mask. Anyone know who else carries this mask. I would love to have Dead eye a life size static prop but that goes for about $300 another ouch! THanks for everyones help.

Hey scorpio,
We are also doing a western/cowboy theme next year. DH found 2 costumes at CVS Pharmacy last week for 50% off. They came with a really nice black duster, scarf and a vest for $10.
After summer sale at Big Lots had big wagon wheels. I got them for about $10.00 I think.

I'm tentatively planning to do a western theme in 2009, so I've been thinking about gathering stuff. I'll be keeping an eye out at yard sales for kids' jeans, cowboy boots, belts, and plaid shirts for my bluckies. Also yard sale saloon girl outfits - bright dresses, feather boas, etc. Planning to print up wanted posters with skeleton cowboy faces on them. My dad used to buy odd lots of leather scraps on ebay to repair his horse's tack, I figured I'd keep an eye out for some. Really want to score a longhorn skull. Dollar store pistols. Landscape timbers or other weathered wood for hitching posts, a corral. Tumbleweed - maybe dried kudzu vines since I'm in the South.

Check out all the Goodwill stores and (believe it or not) Walgreens' had some really good stuff this year and it's never expensive. I've gone there for the past 3 years and have been pleasantly surprised. It is obviously not the caliber or quality of the hardcore Halloween stores, but for small items and background scenery, they're perfect. Picked up my Creepy Cloth there.

Since I live in Arizona so all kinds of southwest things like cow skulls and stuff show up in yard sales here. I will keep an eye out , I also can get you tumble weeds by just going out into the desert but it isn't the right time of year now, more into the late summer months.
