What was your best scare this year?
We had two that are my favorites. Mr. L got one middle aged woman with the crawling zombie. She had on shorts and sandals and when that cold latex hit her bare leg she screamed the loudest scream we have ever heard! Then she ran out of the garage and was completely embarrassed saying, “I can’t believe I screamed like that!”
The other was a woman who walked up to the garage with a cute little, fluffy 4-5 pound dog. The dog was on a leash and sat down as she was surveying the garage. He looked over at the insane asylum area and at that exact moment, the remote controlled spider ran right out at him. That little furball jumped two feet straight up in the air!! By then his mom was ready to walk into the garage. She kept pulling on the leash but little furball wasn’t budging...no way was he going into the garage. Mom finally picked him up and carried him into the garage. The whole time he kept craning his little neck to keep an eye on that spider. It was the funniest thing I ever saw! LOL

Two "I'm not scared" teenagers walked into our tent and when one of my actors moved, she fell over backwards and landed on her behind. Her friend took off and left her there!
"He has my father's eyes."
"Gomez, take those out of his mouth!"

Getting pelted with a candy bucket.
Poor girl. I was back refilling our huge candy bowl, back to the entrance. This girl (about 10) came through gripping her fathers hand, mom back video taping. I get finished, unaware anyone is behind me, turn around and exit the little curtain around the candy area.
She flings that little pumpkin-bucket catching me square in the chest, wrenches free of her dad and flees SCREAMING back to her mom.
What's funny is once there, and calmed down a bit, she got a better look at me, I gave her a glow stick, and it was "oh, you're not so scary", and she happily walked back on her own.
They've promised me a copy of the video.

We made a couple of shadow boxes that had a Budget Bart skeleton in each. I put a strobe in the top almost center and then one in a bottom corner. The strobes gave off a cool effect of the skellies that was very random.
That was it, just flashes of skeleton silhouette from 2 different angles.
Yet I can't count the number of kids and adults that shied away from them. I guess they thought something was going to jump out! LOL But since I had them on either side of the park bench where I handed out the candy, they had no choice!
