This blog mom actually brags about giving crappy OLD candy to kids with no costumes that TOT.
So if they're too poor to afford a costume - here's some 3 year old candy that is probably toxic!
Sure, some kids are rude and some are just hitting some houses to get free candy, but it's supposed to be a fun night - not one where you have to worry about giving some kid food poisoning.
Way to go, lady - you're teaching kids to hate Halloween! Like we need more of those types.![]()

thats not a good thing to do give out old candy.....i wonder if after halloween that night if her house gets hits with pumpkins smashed everywhere or bag of poops etc ? lol
i would be affraid of repercussion from a nasty teen coming back and stealing or breaking my stuff because sadly thats what the world now as become..... i would rater give just a small candy instead of alot and ask why no costume....
i got many older trick or treaters this year who ALL wore costumed , ALL of them very polite and full of compliments so i cant speak for giving them a "special treat for those non costumed or missbehaving ones , but cant she just ask why their not costumed ? geez be human people and just take the time to talk .....
we had visitors all weekend before halloween and the kids almost all came costumed the weekend before as well so....
i think having the firemens doing security in the street just got the bad ones away this year ?
what made me mad this year are kids coming with no bags to put the candy in grrrrrrrrrrrrr....A Witch from Canada

All the teenagers on our block are repeat customers from years past. They were all in costume (at least a mask) and only one didn't have a bag. So I told him, "Hold out your shirt" and I dumped some candy in there. He got all excited and said, "I have a bag now! Look, guys, now I have a bag." It was really funny. I saw him later running around trying to get all his candy not to fall out. It's a fun night. I'm not going to spoil it by demanding to know why they don't have a costume. What if their parents just lost their jobs? I don't want to hear that or embarass the kid.
Plus, who the heck has the space to store old candy? What an ijit."He has my father's eyes."
"Gomez, take those out of his mouth!"

That's just sad. Not worth makin' kids sick just because you're not happy about their lack of costuming.

And check out the following of knuckleheads she has turned on to this idea. Granted, I didn't know that year old candy could be harmful, but I wouldn't pass it off to anyone, regardless. And 25 year old stuff? That is just plain wrong.
Hopefully it will come back around to her.

Perhaps everyone in here should post a comment on that thread. Did you read the one about the woman who wants to rewrap Ex-Lax in Dove bar candy wrappers????
No wonder Hallloween gets a bad name.
Thanks for posting this, Frankie's Girl. I left a comment on the site. Freakin' sick people. And they call themselves moms??

wow.. that is wrong. Reading the comments made me pretty sad. Kids these days get so little magic - why not just go with it. And like you all said - no one knows the circumstance. I am amazed that adults would find this as not only acceptable - but "Brilliant", "Fabulous", etc...
Sheesh... they are out there, trick or treating! They are keeping the holiday alive.
Even the little brats who are jerks get safe, new candy.
