It's that time when those of us with HW-OCD pack up and realize... holy crap... that's a lot of stuff!

I packed everything a little more logically this year, but packed so much that my bins' lids won't fit. That means little or no stacking in the attic... which means it looks like SO MUCH more stuff.

Do any of you ever just decide to part with some props?

My MIB and trashcan trauma are awesome, but I wonder if they served their purpose? Where on earth am I going to store them this year?

I priced a storage unit, but they are going for $75/mo... that's too much. We can't build another shed in our yard. Ugh.

Sell them to a neighbor. (or lend them). That'll confuse the kiddies.

I try really hard to make my props collapsible. That's one reason I'm so fond of ghosts. They just sort of wrap around their shoulder wires and several go in a single trash bag.

Everything I make is made to fit in the attic or fit under something, open up to store stuff inside...

(Even my fence goes in the attic, all 72 feet of it)

But after 5 years of prop building and accumulation, I feel like I need a semi container!

99% packed away. Got to work on my fog machine before next year. I need parts! Any suggestions. I guess I can contact to company. I'll work on it tommorrow. Need new hose and filter. And maybe new pump. I'll look into it. I'll post pics later.

Right now, we have 6 large boxes of stuff sitting in our living room fully loaded and taped up to go in the attic.

My witch is made on an artist's easel, so she breaks down almost flat and goes on the garage wall. Her cauldron is going up in the attic.

There are at least 6 more large boxes of stuff in the garage (thank heavens that tombstones are flat, cause they'd take up soooooo much space.

Dh has some old cutesy stuff that we're putting in a yard sale next spring, but other than that, I don't think I could get rid of any of it, and I know that more is going to be built over the years... I think I need a bigger house!

"Eat hearty, lads, for tomorrow we pack it all up under the house!"

Most every year so far, a good half or more of my stuff is meant to be recycled or tossed... not so this year. Everything has been built to fold flat or pack easily. It helps that I've decided not to do a completely different haunt every year from now on.
