WARNING: This post will mention Christmas, though it pains me to do so (I hit Garden Ridge Nov. 1 and the blaring Christmas music made me nauseous).
I just have to ask: do any of you go equally crazy over decorating for other holidays?
I know that I don't. In fact it takes me some de-tox time to get to the point where Christmas music/commercials/tv doesn't make my skin crawl. Don't get me wrong, by the end of November I'm usually pretty jolly about the Holidays, but right now as the stores quickly erase Halloween from their shelves to make room for cutesy obnoxious Christmas, I just want to hide under my tombstones.
For me, Christmas decorations consist of the usual indoor decor (tree, wreaths, stockings, etc.). Outside is rather minimal with lights on the house and in the bushes. No inflatables, no displays, and no structures or animatronics like good ol' Halloween. How about you guys? Is Christmas (or any other holiday) just as big at your houses?

I tend to decorate the house for all the other major holidays.... but not as much as Halloween!

My father in law was one of those over the top Christmas people, running up a $600 electric bill in December and all that. I just don't get it, though. I'm happy with a tree and some lights. Besides, who would have the energy to pull off a massive display only two months apart? Not this ol' gal, that's for sure! I'll just put Santa hats on the vultures.
Guns kill people... just like spoons made Rosie O'Donnell fat.

I'll do some decorating for Christmas, but I just don't get as psyched for it. I do, however, like my cheesy Elvis Christmas decorations. They make me laugh.
"He has my father's eyes."
"Gomez, take those out of his mouth!"

I only do what my kids force me to do, but even they're getting converted. I almost had them into a Halloween Christmas tree last year - but didn't make it. Darn!!

Hey pandora
You should try again for the Halloween tree this Christmas. When I was at Garden Ridge yesterday they had shiny black trees on sale."No one lives any nearer than town. No one will come any nearer than that...in the night...in the dark."

After we took over the neighbors yard with our Halloween decorations, they made us promise to do up Christmas. (Their favorite holiday)......But it's not the same.

I decorate for Christmas, usually light up candles in the windows. Colorful lights on the trees outside.

I don't decorate the yard though too much. I only do that for halloween!
I'm pretty old fashioned when it comes to the lights. For the outside I love the big bulbed lights.
For the christmas tree I use colored lights and white lights.
