I just put away the rest of my decorations and I got really bummed out. This year truly made me feel like I was 10 years old again. It was amazing. And now it is gone.
There is nothing like the childish fun of Halloween.
Once you stop believing in Santa, Christmas is pretty much ruined. But Halloween has something magical about it that you never outgrow.
Children of the night... What music they make.

Look, on the horizon...Halloween 2008 is only 363 days away!!! If you change the perspective from mourning this years to anticipating next years, the future looks pretty bright. I understand though, it's always sad to have to let this years go.

I plan to combat the depression by planning my new scares, a la Jack Skellington....

We're still packing stuff up but have most of it done. It actually feels good to get it all put away again. Time to clean the house now for Thanksgiving.
While moving stuff in the garage today I found a large piece of two inch pink foam. I got out my circular saw and cut sections to make a crypt table for next year. Figure I can work on this over the winter months and take my time with it. I had enough left to make a couple of new tombstones so I have some projects to look forward to. I was a bit down yesterday but more so because the two weeks vacation I took is wrapping up. Ugh!!!

I still have 4 deocrations outside I will take them down over the weekend I'm guessing..it's funny because people in my complex still have webs/pumpkins/witches etc ALL DECKED out on their yards etc. I guess in my area we don't know when to quit : )

I just came back from Walmart and everything Halloween is 50% off, I purchased a skelaton with glowing eyes, a skull type weapon and a pumpking carver with accessories included all for 10 dollars saved about 10 dolllars it would have been 20 dollars.

Yeah I know what you mean. My boyfriend and I went through all the trouble putting up our decorations the day before halloween. We were just afraid of people ruining out props that we created. I don't think were gonna put things away until after the week is over with.

It's too depressing to take them down.

I'll be looking forward for next year though.

I'm depressed about all the cleanup still to come. :-D

There were a couple of things I wanted to do this year that I didn't get finished. I plan to work on them good and early!
