Wow what a set up! Which voice changer program do you use? We were looking for one this year but found the choice limited. The one we did find and tried....AVvoice changer...or something like that....'didn't work so great.

Thanks for so many nice responses! I wish I had gotten more pictures. To answer some questions, Yes, the ghoul at the end of the video IS me.

Also, we estimate that we got somewhere around 250 people, maybe closer to 300 counting all the adults. right around 200 kids in costume.

Trick or treating is set for 6 to 8 in our town, although we stay up and running until all the TOTers are gone.

Right after 8 we got a rush of traffic from all the parents that had been stuck in their houses giving out candy, but wanted to get out and see us. We stayed open until about 8:30.

Finally, the Voice Changer I used WAS the AV softwrae. I used AV Voice Changer Software Diamond. It cost about $100.00 and was the best quality sound I could find.

There is a slight delay, but only about half a second. The output is completely adjustable as to pitch and tenor and is high quality. None of the distorted, fuzzy sound that you can't understand what's being said that I found elsewhere.

I was VERY happy with the softwrae. Did you try the pro version, or do they have other versions that are not as good?

Holy crap! Amazing talent.

How do you learn to do that kind of stuff? Or where do you find a husband who knows how to do that stuff?

Thanks! I don't know where they keep potential husbands with this knowledge, but most of it I learned right here on this forum.

This quartet was my first attempt into the world of animatronics. Before this project, I had never even seen a servo close up.

I knew nothing about the software, what size servos to buy, controllers or any of that. People on this forum talked me through a lot of this as did the customer service people from where I bought the software and controllers.

I just know what I want to do, and keep asking questions until someone explains to me how to do it.

I tried the free/trial version. Only had a few voice options and none of them were that great. Plus they were so soft that the skull wouldn't respond to them.

Absolutely phenomenal!! Did you write the song for it? It's wonderful. A Halloween Carol!! I hope you're very proud. Now where do you go from here?? That's one heck of a starting point, so good luck topping yourself. Absolutely wonderful work.

All this may be for sale soon.

Check out this thread:

Also my last post here:

That should explain everything.

My sister wrote the "Halloween Carol". It looks like I won't have to worry about how to top this next year.

MsMeeple,

I didn't use a pre-set voice from the voicechanger software. I adjusted it manually to get the voice I wanted.

The volume was fine, but that is a function of your computer and soundcard, not the software. Maybe there is an adjustment in the software for volume. There probably is, but I had no problem at all.
