This was a mild year for us, due to last years myriad of problems we did not do a haunt. We took the girls to a bunch of publix grocery stores all over town. Most people loved everyones costumes and were glad to see that us adults participated as well. We visited 3 other home haunts in the area, the first one we got to too early, it would have been a lot better after dark, but they put forth a good effort. The second and third, it was nice to see people trying, but nothing special to mention. I was glad I got to take a year off and enjoy it with my own children, my three year old had a great time. We stopped at CVS and they took a family photo for us. Here it is.

That picture is a keeper! I remember the trouble you had with the punks last year...their loss...and you and your family had a better time I'm sure!

    Nice pic Max!

Wish you could've come and seen my yard with your ToT's! But at 40 min. one way, not exactly practical! LOL

Glad to hear you had a good time!
We had thought about sending out recon to see what else was going on, but word was ours was the only well done yard in town. And that is unusual! Usually at least 4 decent haunts. Guess it was a down year all over. Our son said even the big TOT area had 70% of their lights off.

I too wondered what you would be doing this year after all that fiasco last year. Nice to see you out with your family but I hope you get back to haunting!

Glad this years' was better for you maximpakt - we all go out early, then the elder tween goes with her girlfriend and their family, and the younger hits the neighborhood with her dad, while I man the fort. Good fun all around, and a ton of candy!

I was surprised at the neighborhoods we visited, there was hardly anybody out. Then we passed one subdivision where the cars were parked along the main road for about a mile just to walk in. We got back to my neighborhood about 9, there were still a lot of people out. We did notice a very heavy police presence patrolling the area, and then about 10 the police were rolling around the neighborhood with thier lights on telling everyone to clear the streets. Also about 10 I had several of the teens that were in my haunt last year show up wanting to borrow costumes, I figured giving them masks that time of night would be nothing but trouble and sent them on thier way. Now I am just sitting here waiting on spencers to open so I can see whats left.
