Ok, so Halloween '07 is on a Wednesday. When is everybody taking down their decorations & yard displays? We were thinking Friday, Nov. 2 and leaving everything up & illuminated for one more night, Thursday night, Nov. 1 for some late comers. What's your plan? Thanks.

We do a major tear down 'the night'. Then we finish up the next day.

We feel it's part of the magic. It's all there one day, bigger than life and then it disappears almost overnight.

We take in the animatronics and easy stuff, but the graveyard will probably be up until Saturday, when we break down the whole thing.

It was an all day setup for putting up the tombstones, fence and columns, the giant spiderweb and switching out the lighting, but I imagine that we'll get it put away in a few hours.

We also do a major breakdown on the night. Stuff will stay out until about 10:30 then down it comes. All lights/electrical/tombstones and small stuff gets brought in the house. The fence and castle wall will come down the morning after. By noon, there are no traces of anything outdoors. It takes a good two days to pack it all away though.

Most comes down the night of, then the remainder the next day. That way we don't worry about late night Tricker's and it boggles the minds of the little ones when they bring their friends back to see our creepy house and suddenly it's all gone!

We'll have to take it down the same night as Halloween... we'll get in trouble by HOA i'm sure for having a walkway structure in front of our house... it's gonna take another couple of hours to put outside decor into the garage... looking forward to it!..... not! >_<!

We have had several people ask if we will leave it up a few extra days so they can bring others by to see it. (Not many people decorate around here) So we willl probably bring it down on Friday or Saturday.

Never? It took me so long to set up that I don't want to even think about the take-down (or what I really mean is the storage). But my fireplace prop is coming in the house for Christmas since I don't have a real fireplace!

Anyway, I'm thinking I'll take it down on the weekend...but I'm not committing to any particular weekend!
