I am finishing up a couple of last minute props I decided to do. I'm also thinking about adding one more, and I asked for opinions on it a couple weeks ago and I still can't decide if I should do it or not. I am really stuck....
I have a graveyard haunt in my front yard. Pretty much to norm, tombstones, grim reaper, animated ground breaker using a shiatsu, animated gravedigger using a oscillating fan. I was thinking about adding a guy who is cut in half. I would have my grave digger holding something that he used...dont' know what yet though. The idea being that the grave digger cut someone in half that entered his graveyard. Well I would have the guy cut in have with his guts hanging out and his torso crawling away from his legs and a nice trail of blood.
Too much? Is it too intense for a yard haunt? Too gorey?
Opinions needed please.

I LOVE IT!!!! And I have a 10 yr. old and a 13 yr. old and I monitor what they watch on TV (no scary movies, no bloody shows, no teenage blender flicks), and even they appreciate stuff like you are talking about at Halloween.
I have a scene with 3 vampires feeding on a guy and a soundtrack of him screaming, bones crunching, etc.
Express yourself. Get feedback from people that will see it on H'ween and you'll know what's "okay" for future haunts. You have to push the envelope just a little or it won't be scary.

Thanks for the input. That what I wanted to hear.

The last thing I want to go is to offend someone though.

If it was me, I wouldn't do it.
I live in a neighborhood with lots of little TOTs, so we don't do gory in the public areas (yard/porch).
Don't get me wrong - I love gory, but (totally my opinion) it might be too much for TOTs.I'm a Halloween Bride! 10/31/2002

have you ever heard the saying "you can please some of the people some of the time and most of the people most of the time but yu can't please all of the people all of the time" ?
do what you want to do
last year we did just a display and everyone was asking why we did not do a walk through, the answer was i didn't feel like doing a walkthrough, then they asked if we were doing a walk through this year and i told them we were not sure... we are.

I would say too much unless you only are looking to have 12 and older TOTs.
I would think alot of people with younger kids would pass you by.
