I am thinking of adding poltergeist to the marathon as well as that is a classic as its the 25th anniversary edition that was just released. I havent see christine. Is that a good one to watch?

I think it is a fantastic idea! I would add Tom Browning's Freaks to the line up. It was made in 1932 and is downright disturbing! Some of my favorite movies to watch for Halloween include Beetleguise and The Addams Family.. those would be a shoe-in!
