Well, mine will be pretty obvious. I always watch the original Halloween on Halloween Day (well, in between TOT'S, lol). I've been doing this for sometime now.
I have a good collection of all kinds of scary movies but only one movie where the plot takes place on Halloween Day. Basically I ask my parents what else they would like to watch that day.

The original Halloween, to this day, still spooks me the most.
And here's why...
I'm about 8 years old, watching the movie on TV with my older sister who's 11 at the time. We're home alone, early evening, and just as the movie ends, the power goes out in the house.
She starts freaking as much as an 11 year old female could, and sends ME, her LITTLE BROTHER, down to the basement alone to check the fuse box!
Now the basement in the house I grew up in looked like the final scene in The Blair Witch Project so it's spooky to begin with, and I'm down there alone, in the dark, and getting a little spooked having just seen this movie.
Then, my sister CLOSES AND LOCKS THE BASEMENT DOOR ON ME BECAUSE SHE'S THAT SCARED! So naturally I start freaking out and go running up and she WON'T open the door!
To this day, I don't know if she set me up or not.
But we love telling that story, especially when we watch Halloween.....Feels like...somebody just walked over my grave. Did you find it?

I am rather childish in my choices of Halloween movies.... I love Disney's Legend of Sleepy Hollow along with Its a Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. For me, those are the specials I watched as I sorted my candy with my friends and brother after we wandered the streets in our glorious plastic costumes. It is pure nostalgia for me. It gets me in the mood like nothing else on Halloween night. After all has quieted down, I throw in Nightmare Before Christmas for the romantic in me and drift off to dreamland.
In the weeks leading up to Halloween, I do enjoy a good scary movie. I am not to into the slasher films, prefereing things like Sleepy Hallow, Mary Shelly's Frankenstein, Bram Stokers Dracula.... Throw in anything with Vincent Price and I am won over (doesnt even have to BE a scary movie... he puts me in the mood). I do love anything in black and white!

We have a HUGE collection of movies as DH is a movie addict, and he has a ton of horror and classic monster movies.

Our standards are:
the Charlie Brown special (when we're carving pumpkins)
Frankenstein
Bride of Frankenstein
House on Haunted Hill (both original and remake)
Susperia
Evil Dead series
Halloween
Jeepers Creepers
Psycho
Abbott and Costello Meet... (insert monster here)
and then whatever else we feel like!I'm a Halloween Bride! 10/31/2002

I watch a lot of horror movies around Halloween time, but my favorites for the big night itself are The Exorcist and The Ninth Gate. Time permitting, throw in An American Werewolf in London and the original The Omen.
