Does anyone use these?
I know that the places that sell these and engrave them occasionally have to throw a couple away due to cracks, misspelled names, or other.
I know a place not far from me that has a bunch just stacked up in back, but have yet to ask what one would cost.

I've considered using them, the only thing i'd question is storage....it's ok if you have a fair sized garage with plenty of spare to store, but if like me you keep things elsewhere, it might be a pain. The rest of the year I store stuff in my attic, and I don't think theres any way I'd be able to manouver a heavy headstone up there, let alone on my own!
Would be pretty cool though
Could always make casts of the plastic headstones you like and then pour a concrete mix to make more durable stones...can keep the originals out of harms way for future casts then too
Plus if a cast breaks, it would still look pretty creepy and old.....

Hmm never thought of using real headstones. I would think they'd be pretty expesnsive steel even when there brooken or the name is wrong. Granit is now the big thing and that stuff doesn't come cheap.
You shouldset up an appointment with the people that have them and see go from there. If you end you end up getting one share pics. :-) Also I see you too are from Colorado. What place are you talking about? I'd like to call them.

Okay. You could work the stone into yard decor but with scriptures and stuff on them it might look funny unless you turn them around. Have you seen the one's at that place? I bet it would be cool. Haha just leave em all year and let people think you live on ancient ground.

My only concern would be that, if you bought it from a local store, and that the relatives of Mr. X (whose name was mispelled but still you could figure out who the stone was intended for) were to walk by your house, it would be kind of awkward, and I would feel strange and unconformtable.... but besides that, yes, it would be real cool, but hard to store!
My 2 cents!Support bacteria - they're the only culture some people have!
