Thread: My props I made this year, for last weekend's party

I made 3 of the tombstones, 3 were from last year - Walmart cheapies - I made the 4 sections of fence, and I made the coffin.

My husband is a plasterer, and he uses 2" foam day in and day out for over 10 years now - the stones and the coffin were like elementary school for him! LOL he even ragged them with the fiberglass mess, and then covered with plaster, so they are solid! I didn't paint the stones - the plaster gray was fine - I did spraypaint the coffin and paint the lines and tried to give it the wood grain.

It was a start! Next year, it'll be much easier to just add to it - esp now that we know more about what we are doing! I know it's not much for now, but we'll get there in a couple of years!! Thanks for looking!

yes ma'am! My hubby did a great job - I was so impressed! He kept saying, I can make ANYTHING outta foam, but I didn't think it'd look good, but it came out great! And it is heavy and solid. Should last for years to come.

The fence was the biggest bitch to make. It was time consuming, but I do love it. Next year, since he's proved to be such a wiz with foam, I'm going to make him make me my graveyard columns!

My lighting is crappy and the fog machines need help, but baby steps.....baby steps....

ETA: hubby had a cigar in one hand of the corpse and a beer in the other! I took them out before the kids showed up for the party!! LOL

bumping cause my display got tore up in a storm the other night!

I def need the rebar next year!! One tombstone (cheapy from WM) got tore up pretty bad. One section of fence is messed up but repairable. Def work on better tie downs next year!
