Hi all... I tried searching for the information here to see if you guys knew anything about this (btw... I've been on a long absence.... I'm BACK!)

BONEY ISLAND (www.boneyisland.com) created by one of the producers of THE SIMPSONS is setting up the carnival one last time this year. After that everything is being put up on EBAY (pick up only)

Well, that's the rumor I hear from a gal at work who went to visit the place last night... can you guys confirm?

It seems to me that alot of GREAT Home Haunts in the Los Angeles area are shutting down because of neighbor complaints. This saddens me to no end.

I don't see why his neighbors would have reason to complain, because he graciously turns his music off at 10pm out of respect for them! However, I don't know...but I would love to have props and such from the haunt...if only it was shippable!!! HAHAHA!

That is so sad! I remember seeing him on HGTV and thinking how cool it would be to have him for a neighbor; his haunt looked like so much fun! Of course the traffic on his street must be horrible now after having so much publicity so I can kind of see how it could be a problem for his neighbors...

Honestly? The traffic in that neighborhood isn't all that bad... of course, the parking gets tight, but not alot of people know he exisits, and he runs the show for good long time during the season, so the audience gets spread out.

I went last night, and the family was still setting up the last details of the show, but it's GREAT with some new elements.

BTW... IF YOU GO TO BONEY ISLAND let's help them go out with a bang. I noticed that they were selling Boney Island t-shirts by their backyard and garage. The proceeds to go to a non profit organization that helps the homeless get on their feet with job skills, food, and a place to live . Buy a shirt and help their cause!
