Went to Big Lots just now, and they have Halloween stuff on one short row. One.

They were resetting all the Xmas stuff, which is about 100x what they ever had of Halloween.

Helloooo.... if the HW stuff sells out 3 weeks from HW, maybe you should restock? Why do stores refuse to restock shelves for seasonal stuff?

This annoys the hell out of me! Is christmas getting in earlier and earlier or is it always like this? Who needs christmas stuff yet? Most people don't even put up christmas decor until December-I don't understand it!!!
I was in a Michaels on October 1st and christmas stuff was pretty much on equal shelf spaceage with the Halloween stuff. How are people supposed to decorate for Halloween when there's no stuff left in mid October? GRRR.......

Is there any way to start some sort of campaign to let the retailers know we think this is stupid?

On Halloween Day, Party City will keep employees late and the HW stuff will be GONE by the next day. (they did last year, anyway)

    Good Idea!
If we all go into as many stores as possible on, say, the Saturday before Halloween or something, and ask where the halloween items are, and that we are so dissapointed cos we were GONNA BUY this, that and the other thing, maybe it will start to sink in. Could even do the ole mention to the manger. I would be happy to do that, and if enough of us did it, it would have an impact.

We could get the Main Office Adress to places like Big Lots and write them and tell them how we feel....
