I just had to share. We are in the process of putting out our Halloween props for this year and we usually get the same ??'s that are asked every year, mostly from children watcha doing? whats that? is that a real body (I just love that one). We do get a lot of adults also. Adults with noses that like to stick into your business "How much you spend?" we always tell them "JUST ENOUGH". But on the 7th ,because its been so hot here we have been putting out props out in the dusk time (we just make sure to wear our OFF, the sceeters are nasty this year) plus the light is just so perfect to judge what everything will look right. Sorry got off track we had a couple and their college age son stop by and was asking ??'s about our props and the cemetery that we were finishing up. We talked about 30 mins and Husband mother had stopped by to give me my B-day present and made a comment that my husband is a "Jaycees" brat and that it was in his blood. Well yesterday I was cooking dinner and I heard a knock at the door and here's that college student that was with his parents the other night with this box of Halloween decorations saying that they wanted us to have their Halloween decorations (there was like 6 tombstones and a flickering cauldron). I told them that I wouldn't take their decorations that they should put them out for everyone to enjoy on Halloween but he insisted that we have their decorations. I told him thank you and told him to thank his parents. I went and showed my husband the box and he noticed that all the tombstones where brand new they were still wrapped in plastic and had the price stickers on them. I was at a loss for for words (which is new for me
) Sorry such a long story but I just had to share.

Sounds like the kid knew that stuff would get to be in the show at your place, instead of sitting in a box at his parents house! Hope he comes back to see the finished product!

What a nice story! It's so gratifying when the neighbors appreciate your work. Extra great when you get compensated for it!!
I had a neighbor call last night right after work asking where I was. Her 4 year old son saw that we put some props out & he had to come & see them up close.
I LOVE IT!! LOVE IT!!

There areally are nice folks out there. My neighbor and biggest fan came by yesterday. He's about seven and was putting out his decorations in his own kid-logical way. He brought over his small bag of creepy moss that he had gotten at Party City. Now, I have tons of moss hanging in the tree overhanging the graveyard, he had what would amount to a very large handful left in his bag. But he wanted to share. So we spent about fifteen minutes adding a pinch of moss here and there to tombstones and pumpkins. Then he gave me a tour of his yard and I gave him an extra skull.
