This is so cool. I just spent the last hour and half with Werner Keppler. He showed me a bunch of photos from some of the movies he worked on and some of the movies his son worked on! I got to hold an engraved tray that Leonard Nimoy gave him after they finished "The Wrath Of Kahn".
He told me to come back whenever I want and he will show me how to make masks and do makeup.
He has an incredible history. I'm helping him convert his photos and slides to digital. It is amazing. He showed me the photo of a head he made. He told me it was the one from Jaws. That's when I realized that this man almost made me wet my pants all those years ago. It was the head that popped out of the sunken boat when the diver went down to investigate.
