I decided to make the next step this year and place on top of my barn (really just another part of my house) something on the newly painted and fixed copula. The problem has always been the height over 3 1/2 stories high but after seeing the roofers make it look so easy i thought hey I can do that so up I went and placed a 4 foot witch sitting there nice and high. I felt quite proud how it added to my display however my girlfriend didn't share my celebration..
Anyone in the New Hampshire area want to come after halloween to take it down now that I got my hand slapped for climbing on the roof LOL.
Anyone else do something that their other half didnt think was a great idea?

I'll pass on the taking it down part, but I'd love to see a picture of it! Sounds awesome!
As someone who's only lived in single story ranch style homes, I'd really love some interesting architecture like that to work with...Dear Sweet Leota, Beloved By All. In Regions Beyond Now But Having a Ball...

Yah, the roof thing doesn't go over will with the better half. Had pirate theme for a couple years and posted a skeleton lookout on the roof. Both times cut my hand bad on shingles/ladder/nail combination. Second time needing to go the hospital for it. Needless to say, I don't go up on the roof solo anymore because of it!
Good morning to you Billy Bones, Billy Bones. Good morning to you charming Billy.

The only thing my girlfriend drew the line at was when i proposed i wish to legally make my middle name 'halloween'
No matter how many times i asked, the answer was the same haha.
