I grew up in the Midwest and have one particularly excellent memory of Halloween and being so scared I almost wet my pants. One year our neighbor had several stacks of Hay with a life-size scarecrow sitting on the Hay near his front door. Myself and the vast majority of kids in my neighborhood walked by that house every day to and from school, and always stopped to look at the Scarecrow. Well, when we went trick or treating we walked right past that scarecrow because we had seen it twenty times or more, that is, until the scarecrow grabbed me. I screamed like a little girl. My neighbor laughed like hell. My friends and I then watched from across the street as he grabbed or jumped out at trick or treaters and elicited many screams, most not of delight. Remember, get your life size prop out today so that you are ready on Halloween to be that life size prop.

Already got mine out.
2 Scarecrows, one might be different on Halloween.
I try to set it up that way every year, always keep them guessing.
Be polite. Be professional. But, have a plan to kill everyone you meet.

Last few years i would have someone wear a mask with the black mesh eye covers & wear clothing that we would stuff with news paper let some of it come out the sleeve (wore gloves) & around the anckles of the pants,so when someone thought it was a person, they would poke at it,hear & see the paper, squeeze it a little & tell they're friends it's ok,"see it's just a dummy filled with newspaper".They would pass it / him & go to the door for candy on the way back out as they passed him he would stand up / grab at them.........
ever seen someone fly as they crapped they're pants ......LMAO....then they
would most of the time bust up laughing as they were NOT expecting it !!
Then they would hang around a little to see the next victims.

I remember someone did that back in the 80's a couple of houses down from me. That was the era of slasher movies and he made up a Jason. I had a great time listening to the screams from my porch
