Yesterday I saw the first halloween decorations up in my area (aside from pumpkins and happy little scarecrows). One house in our neighborhood has a full sized paper skelly on the front door, and one further away has a small witch on the front step. It always gets me excited when I am 'stalking' and see new stuff out!
Is anyone else seeing stuff out?

One house with inflatables and one with a scarecrow. That's it.
Of course, it's still so spring-like here it's kinda hard to get into it. I still have a yard full of flowers and butterflies!Dear Sweet Leota, Beloved By All. In Regions Beyond Now But Having a Ball...

I saw one house and every year she is the 1st one of us to get her stuff out. Its always so cute.
For us....we have the lights around the driveway and walks and they put one of our witches out. Also working along on the inside.
Construction continues on the cemetery pillars.......we are almost done.

I spent the weekend assembling the cemetary fence, getting out the tombstones, coffin, hanging ghosts, ground breakers, animations, wiring the lighting, and mostly, talking with the neighbors and people who "just had to stop!"
Except for some pumpkins, there's a vast wasteland of community spirit here in my town when it comes to Halloween. How sad.

That's how it is around here (Canada) and it sucks, when I was younger people would go crazy and decorate anything and everything around their house(s) now it seems some people have lost their creative juices.
There are the areas that still go all out and we even have a few houses that are featured in the news each year from here to the US; that have amazing set ups but if you go for a walk/drive you don't see the vast majority getting into the spirit like it was in the late 80's early 90's.
I am going to do my best to make my house look good this year I am also planning on having a joint callabo with a friend who is planning a haunted walk slash come get your candy for his BIG YARD which could be the cream of the crop.

One house in our neighborhood put a hanging ghost in their tree, and a few lighted jack o' lanterns.
I feel terrible that we're not getting the majority done until this coming weekend.

I saw a house decorated on Saturday. The first one I'd seen. Mostly cutesy stuff, but it still warmed my heart to see it!

I just put out most of my outside stuff today, and it felt great to see people stop in front of my house already. =) Makes all the time and effort worth while.
