Thinking of trying to dye some cheap white silk roses black....if it works it'll be much cheaper than buying the black ones...has anyone successfully done this??

I've never tried dying them before but you can get black floral spray paint at Michael's.

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought maybe dipping them in black rit dye may work...seems like the fabric would soak up the color.

Dye probably won't work, it's made for 100% cotton fabric. I got bushes of black flowers from my local dollar store.

Paint is the way to go unless you buy them black...the dye bleeds out and even if you try to get them black with concentrated amounts they end up looking more grey...even that does not really last.
No honestly, it's not just a nickname....I'm truly Hideous.
