Just got back froming driving around looking for signs of Oct.,...........well out of 50 houses I saw 3 with JOL's and some small scarecrows, I was expecting to at least see a little more fall decor anyway. Gosh if they drove by my house now they would think I'm weird with the few things I have out. Heck I'm already plotting my next decor move but don't want to get too far ahead of myself............awe heck with that............but I got a ways to go before I get back to last years look like here.http://community.webtv.net/boswell7/doc0

Wow man you sir are TRUELY COOL I wish here in Canada I seen more people going all out as you did last year. I guess I'm at fault as well for example when I turned 19 (got my license, started partying, clubbing etc) I just lived a crazy work - party lifestyle and I just slowed down when I turned about 26 and life started catching up with me...I started to focus more on career moves, finishing university and more importantly enjoying some of the things I put off because I felt I was too cool/busy to do...and that one being Halloween.

As a kid there was nobody on our block more excited/ready for Halloween and more importantly we started the earliest when it came to decorating and picking out costumes. Not too many years ago I realized I had a new found love for Halloween (decorated a bit for starters, handed out some candy and attended a costume party) and I haven't let up since.

I truely believe the saying life moves fast when your having fun...one needs to stop and appreciate the times such as X mas, holidays and more importantly HALLOWEEN....Halloween is fun for various reasons brings back child hood memories, it's fun seeing the kids have fun and look back and say wow I was a kid once as wel....it seems as if it was just yesterday! From the carving of pumpkins to the joy of decorating what a TIME!

Great job on the pictures man keep them coming if you have any more, I will have to snap pics via my digital camera asap once I get things rolling.

CHEERS!

Wow....... thanks for the compliments, we had a great turn-out with TOT's last year, it helps to have a 12 yr. old into it. We had about 12 actors last year to help too. Sorry, pics below are taken from a 35mm.

Again great pics man I remember when I was a kid I visited houses much like yours, those were some magical years (late 80s n 90s) and a nice decade to be a kid in. I hope I get my place looking as good as yours this year, it's been a long time coming since I really decorated my home again.

Again, I appreciate your flattery, its really nice to hear, especially after all the work that goes into it, we have many young ones around here so we try to keep it spooky and creepy but no gore, horror or blood with only costumes being the exception (can't control that one...lol....oh well). So far we've been scary anuff )))).......and we do use props like this blowdryer we use last year in the tunnel area of the garage, people had to duck under the cobwebs and we had a hidden blowdryer set on high come on as they walk by and give them a good blast of hot air, my wife takes credit for that one and it worked great. I'm sure you'll place will look cool too and look forward to those pics. And you know whats amazing is with so little competition out there the people really appreciate the work you......................"build it and they will come". We did put out a few flyers and we did have some vans pulling up and dropping kids off to go in, I think thats where the big inflatable grab them sparked their interest from a distance. One of the our proudest moments came (and we had a few of them) when we were seeing people take pictures with their kids standing in front of our house. That made it worth the work, I only can only hope to see it rub off on others here in our Hood, man would I be tickle with,,,........and welcome with open arms some other houses down the street doing a maze or garage scene with actors !!!!

I agree with everything you said it's a nice pay off when you garner attention and people respect the effort. I remember as a kid my brothers and I had a insane fascination with Halloween and we would do the damn best job we could to be the best decorated home on the block. I am looking forward to going all out this year when it comes to decking out my home..the last time I can remember I did anything with the outside of our home was probably some where in the 90s...my how the years pass by it's rather insane.

I was just at Walmart but they didn't have "everything" out just yet, in Toronto there is a HUGE Halloween shop (that I swear we visited when we were younger) I intend on getting most of my props from.

Those pics you posted just now are cool, you guys catch some big fish there in the States WOW.
