So my theme this year is "lost in the backwoods." Think Blair Witch meets Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Anyways, I'm looking for some loooong looping mp3/cd tracks that have the sounds of the woods at night. I'm thinking of leaves and sticks snapping, owls hooting, and crickets chirping. I'm looking for anything that sounds like being lost in the woods. I've found a few tracks on midnight syndicate cd's, but they are hardly long enough to keep looping outside during my 4-6 hour party. Anyone have a source for a good, not too repetitive woods sound file?
Thanks!

I know it has to exsist, because I have this casset that is over 20yrs. old now called Night in the Graveyard and it has just those sounds you mentioned...crickets..crunching leaves and twigs...owls..

Jack:
That sounds like the cassette I'm looking for. Does it have the sound of digging on it? That's the one I want! I posted it in the music thread. Should have put it here in the first place.
If that's the one, would you be willing to dub the cassette and send it to me? I'll certainly pay you for shipping, time, and cost. And anything else you'd like.

Michigal,
I have that tape of Night In A Haunted House/Night In A Graveyard. I have it posted on a webpage, but it is currently over the monthly bandwidth (which is typcial this time of year). Should be back open in 5 days. Here's the page link:
Night In A Haunted House/Night In A Graveyard
I also have several individual sond files on my sounds page, but there again it is over bandwidth limits (I refuse to pay extra this time of year because it can get out of hand cost wise).

Halloweiner, thank you! I've bookmarked the page and will wait for the bandwidth to reset. I don't blame you for not wanting to pay extra. It can run into some bucks. Thanks again.

"Night in the Graveyard" is a classic!
I found a copy through my local library! The footsteps crunching along sound so real that I thought someone was really walking nearby as I set up the speakers!
Just a note: Many states offer inter-library loans throughout the entire state. If your library participates, you can have access to THOUSANDS of SFX resources. I ordered mine months ago and have amassed quite SFX library myself.

Amazon.com has six copies available from Marketplace sellers, starting from $1.24, here's a link
OMG - just noticed someone has one for sale for $2,000.00! I don't think it's that good!
