Has anyone gone in the past? Please give me your feedback. It looks great, but I'm afraid it may be a bit too intense for my 3 kids. Our township has the trip planned for Sat. Sept. 29. We leave at 10am and return at 2am. It would be a long day for my little one so I may have to drive so we have the choice to leave when we want.

I've never been but one of my best friend's lives up in Ohio and has told me a great deal abou the event. There are a ton of kid friendly areas for the little ones from what she's mentioned...some of the pictures she sent me showed Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the peanuts gang out doing pictures with the little ones.
Here's a link to the events site for this year...and you noticed on the info bar on the left there is even a section entitled "Just for Kids"! Hope this helps you out some!! Have a great time!
http://halloweekends.cedarpoint.com/I came here to chew bubble gum and kick ass. I'm all out of bubble gum.
Laurie: "Was that the boogeyman?"
Dr. Loomis: "As a matter of fact...that was."

We went with my boy when he was 8 a few years back, it was great, we only took him through the fright zones which are not too bad for him, the houses are very intense, and we did not do that with him, it our favorite park, its very well decorated too.

Halloweekends is awesome... I highly recomend it. Have been to it the last 3 years running now, and it never fails to impress, and seems to get better every year. Yes there are plenty of kid friendly area's and those that could get "too scary" for little tiny ones are marked before you enter the area.
There are usually 3 haunted houses through out the park, only went in a couple the first year I was there, way too crowded the last couple times. But the best part is, all the rides are operational, way cool. Give it a shot...

The company that owns Cedar Point bought King's Island this year. I know that KI's Halloween set up used to be good and I've been wondering if their new one will be as well. You guys are giving me hope!

The Cedar Fair Entertainment Company who own King's Island and all the related parks own one here on the border of North and South Carolina named Carowinds...
Every year they have an event named SCarowinds and it sounds very similar to the events mentioned by Rikki and El GuapoGuano
I went last year...I was pleasantly surprised at the happy medium...Kids in the day Teens and Adults at night!
