I do... Anyone else have any fun stories about it?
Last night I went to a party with my brother, with some people he knew from work or who used to work with him. It was a fun party, but to me the best party was finding out the party host was really into Halloween! I can't remember what started the conversation-- I think it started with horror movies-- but he started talking about his Halloween decorations. He goes all out for Halloween, with a graveyard in the front yard including a fog machine and some animatronics, etc... He brought out some heads to show us and a new tombstone he'd bought, and his really nice Bates Motel sign which he put in the window to show us how it lights up (and left it there for half the party, hehe...) Their house is great for decorating because it's an old house so it has a certain air about it, especially when they hang a Bates Motel sign above the front door... He said the TOTs are afraid to come up to his door.We also started talking about haunted houses and found out several people there like them, so we might get together next month to go to one. It's so much fun to find people who share my interest in Halloween stuff! I didn't really know anyone at the party and that crowd tends to talk about technical internet security stuff so I'm usually not that interested in the conversation so this was a very nice surprise.
Oh yeah, here's the sign, it's way better (and bigger) than the ones they sell now. Of course the "no" blinks intermittantly.

I'd love to meet some likeminded indivuals in my area.
But the only ones I know put on a free walk through for the kids for the night of Halloween.
Which is good, but they don't even talk about it until the week of Halloween.
How boring.
Most people just give me that funny look when I mention halloween and making props.
Oh well, someone around here has to have a sense of humor, and it might as well be me.

Me too.
I meet lots of like minded people at Horrorfind Weekends in Maryland.
Same goes with being on the haunt crew for the HFW Haunted House. We have a "lights on tour" on Sunday for an hour. Many people come to check out how it was done & ask lots of questions. I get a kick out of people looking at stuff, getting all excited, & saying "We could do something like that when we get back home".
Since I haunt consult 7 days a week... I sometimes meet people in person, (that I've helped online). They were all excited that I could help them with this thing or that. I just smile & say thanks.
