about 2 nights ago i had my first "HOLY CRAP I'M LATE FOR HALLOWEEN" dream. this HORRIBLE dream always rears it ugly self when i get enough projects to keep me busy all the way till the big night, or so it seems.
ok, the dream...
I was tweaking the jumping spider prop i'm currently working on when all of a sudden i see TOTs on the sidewalk. i look around the yard quick and realize i don't have any tombstones out yet, just the graveyard fence. i didn't even get around to putting out speakers in the yard. nor have i hung or programed the spider victim. the cobwebs weren't up yet. i barely got the dangling crank spider up but he had no webbing either. i was freaking out in the dream. there was no one to help me. it was getting dark. i was scrambling, panicking, feeling helpless and desperate.
then i woke up and was SO relieved that it was only a dream! so i guess it's official. i'm kickin it into super high gear!
anyone else have "THE DREAM" yet?

That sounds like mine. Sometime I have these dreams where I even build stuff in my dreams too, very weid. It's usually about this time of year that I can't seem to shut off my mind and wake up in the middle of the night thinking of all the things left to be done. I'm so glad I'm not alone.

I have "THE DREAM" every year. I usually start taking a nap in my dream, and when I wake up, it is Halloween night. I haven't had it yet this year though.
Even worse though, last year, it was FOR REAL! THIS REALLY HAPPENED! On Halloween night, FIVE O CLOCK! I noticed I had NO decorations up. I had not even bought candy yet! IT WAS A BAD DAY FOR ME!

This topic comes up each year and is still funny. I have "the dream" a couple of times a year, and it doesn't even have to be the Halloween season. It involves me having nothing ready and it's late on H'ween afternoon. No candy, no jack o lanterns carved, etc.. It really is a relief to wake up from that one.

Haha! I have this dream too throughout the year...it doesn't need to be even remotely close to halloween. Stuck trying to set up while people are showing up, and no costume on etc....what a disaster. I am told that people who have dreams like this are always the most prepared for events. So far, either it's true or I've been lucky - how about you guys?

Wow, surprisingly I don't have that one, but I do get the "brain won't shutdown' syndrome.
Its all I can think about. Every waking moment. Thats why I cant stay off of here...... if i'm not making something I'm here thinks about it !

I started a similar thread last year. It's so comforting knowing you're not the only one who has these. Fortunately, I haven't had "The Dream" yet this year, but no doubt they will start coming soon. I've been stocking up on supplies for months, but haven't started any of my builds yet. Argh!! And I'm going on vacation starting on Friday, so that's two weekends shot!
I may just have to take a "sick" day or two.... Some people consider this obsession a sickness, don't they?
