I'd decorate anyway and have your 2 friends over for a small party. you never know what you'll start. they might tell their friends and they theirs, so on and so on. who knows you might have alot of people and kids over in a few years.

Have a party as an excuse to meet people. Invite your neighbors and some co-workers or co-students out of the blue. Some of my best friends started off as strangers. ;-)

Or, ditch the town for a weekend and hit some big haunted houses or a theme park.

Hi & welcome meggoeggo, hope you'll enjoy the forum. New members are encouraged to introduce themselves in the Member Introduction Forum, and party questions can be asked here.

Hmmm, you could probably still set up a display, and maybe talk to the neighbors to see if there's any interest in your neighborhood for Trick or Treating (ToT). Maybe you could start a Halloween block-party as a way to introduce yourself (it would at least make a lasting impression!)

HAHA rikki thats what i was thinking!! thanks for the welcome guys. i live in a big snowboard/ ski town near brekenridge, so everyone just hits the slopes on halloween. Guess im just not the biggest boarder and without being able to buy booze (age) no one will want to come.

    Hi meggoeggo,
I LOVE snowboarding and wish I lived anywhere near Breckenridge, but NO HALLOWEEN?! OK-lame. I think if it were me I would definetly decorate, and then consider hosting any of the activities listed above. Getting people in the neighborhood out to see your stuff could be a meet and greet opportunity and odds are someone would be totally into halloween just never had the chance to meet someone else who is!
Also, find your nearest group of 'weiners via the internet http://www.meetup.com/search/?keywor...=80424&x=0&y=0
    Good luck

Hey I happen to live in Colorado my self. If your not down with having a party and if your close to the Denver area, Elitch Gardens (our big theme park) host Fright Night. It's pretty amazing how they transform the park into a the halloween secene. We also just got a bunch of GREAT new haunted houses last year. I recomend the Slaughter House Gultch and the Assylum. Old cemetarys in Colorado or anywhere are also great to visit. Colorado is known to have many haunted places and speacial cemetarts. Just google.com them. If your not to far from the Boulder area then come on down to our party if you wish.

Invite everyone you can. I moved to a penthouse in a building where I knew no one, and of course there was no trick or treating there. My first year there, I hosted a party and invited my friends, but also put an invitation under every resident's door. The party grows every year - MASSIVELY. Put a BYOB on the invitation if you like, that way people won't expect (and really shouldn't) that you will be providing the booze. It's been quoted many places already on this forum "If you build it, they will come". Build a party to remember, and they will come, and more will come next year...and the next...and the next.....
