Excellent way to "Punish" the culprit.
You are a very good person. Hopefully the little guy will remember this when he wins his academy award for set design and props. He'll say, "It's all because of this guy in my neighborhood."
Glad it all worked out. I have to say it again, you're a good person!

I am gad you found out what happened. As others have said, what a great way to handle it. I am glad his parents made him bring them back,. not every one would, He learned a valuable lesson from this. And what else could be better than learning how to make your own props,
I have flying monkeys- and I'm not afraid to use them!

What a great ending to a depressing incident. I hope the boy really enjoys learning to cast things. I'm sure when he see's his work adorning your yard haunt, he'll take pride!
Fantastic job of handling this...kudos to you and to the child's parents.

UnOrthodOx,
Wow - that was a rollercoaster series of events. I am glad things will work out and you may have another convert to the dark side - decorating for Halloween. You came up with a great ending to the stolen props."Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn, and cauldron bubble. Double, double toil and trouble-- Something wicked this way comes "
