And if so, share some stories.

Here's one of mine:
I was working a "clown room" at a very popular local haunt and was amazed at the number of people that are totally terrified of clowns. So , i think this is gonna be a blast! And was it ever. there were 3 of us in the room and was kind of hard to see us (unitil we wanted you to) because of the low lightn and fog. I was stationed at the exit and got the biggest reactions because of the terror instilled into the victims by my 2 cohorts.

i was the "newbie" and it was only the 2nd group thru that i finally made someone cry. Kid? Nope! 40ish redneck with more skin art than nerve. Mind you that I too am a "redneck, but this guy was giving us a bad name. crying like a baby. BUT....his teenaged daughter was laughing hysterically.

It's almost September again time to visit the halloween message boards. I'm mostly reading trying to come up with a good zombie character.
I guess I will do scare stories first.
I chased three people out of the building 2 guys and one girl. The girl was behind one of the guys and I chased her around the guy sort of playing ring around the rosie with her. As we were doing this they were backing up and me being so into the moment didn't notice it at all.
In the middle of it I stopped and started crawling toward her legs she started backing up while holding onto the guy and they broke the fence and fell on their backs. I dove right beside them and she refused to get up as long as I was there. I shortly realized this and backed up and she regained her composure shortly and they started to come out of where the fence had broken as soon as they did that I jumped at her again and she started screaming at me and cussing me out it was great.
Unfortunately this wasn't the last time I had somebody break a fence. I waited for this group of 4 to come in and I ran at them and this girl jumped back like a foot hit the plastic fence and fell backwards with half their leg on the fence and the fence cracked and almost broke.
I chased this group of 20 out of the building because the chainsaw guy was on break and I started to catch up to them and 3 of them threw gravel in my face and another one threw a shoe at me that sucked. This one group of five refused to come into the room so I went where they were and when I did one of the girls started swinging at me behind her boyfriend and then she pushed him out of the way and I got decked in the face.
I was chasing this one girl out of the building and my best friend the chainsaw guy came out and we tagged teamed her and she ran into a corner and picked up this big stick and threatened to hit us with it. We still refused to let up, but we separated enough so that she could run between us and get away.

The only story I have worth telling is when I played the part of a guy getting beheaded that would rise up and chase after people... the guy with the fake axe was supposed to barely hit the fake head and make it fall in the bucket, but a couple times he hit MY head, and once he hit it so hard he gave me a giant welt... so I was actually screaming in agony and the guests just assumed it part of the act.
I changed scenes after that.

It wasn't a pro haunt, but my buddies and I set up a friend's house on the main street in town. This was back in th' day when all you could buy for HW was really costumes and masks.
We would rig the door to the house to swing open for people, had a ghost that would fly across the yard, and had a rocking chair that rocked by itself. We were really proud of ourselves to say the least.
We had a friend that was pretty small for his age, and he would sneak down the block and blend in with TOTers coming down the walk. When they came to the house, they would start getting their candy and then we'd all jump out and scare the crap out of them .... and my friend's dad would come around the corner with the chainsaw and hockey mask... and then we'd 'kill' our small friend.
Every time, without fail, kids would take off screaming, dropping candy and probably having nightmares. It was awesome, and in retrospect, demented.

2 years ago at my yard haunt I sat across the main city walk so they came directly at mne on thier way out, I sat still until they were certin that I wasn't real then I spang up.
I got kicked and poked so many times, but never gave up until they would try to leave.
I would love to do a pro haunt, but the nieghbor hood would miss my house and I feel like I owe it to ythe kids, being there arn't many scarey houses in my town.

My first year at a pro huant I thought I had it easy because all I had to do was sit at a Dining Room table, and play dead. Well little did I know that there were going to be live mice running around loose on the table. Several times I had one either run up my arm or across my hand. It was very hard, but I did my best not to move.
My worst night at that haunt I played the preacher at an Old West hanging scene. I lost my voice the first night and didn't get it back for 5 days. So the rest of the haunt I had what turned out to be my easiest job. I played a dead person on the mad scientist's table. I just had to lay there playing dead, wearing one of those exposed intestine things.
