I have been seriously contemplating investing in this. I built a chiller two years ago but was not as pleased as I thought I would be with it or my fogger.
Anyone know how good this one is? I plan on the medium sizd one and wonder about the crystals too.....

The Vortex fogger is excellent. Like anything, you can buy one or build one. There are several detailed discussions on how to build one available.

they say that it is patented, I was wondering the difference between it and the others you can self build.

I say build it. The one I made last year out of a med. size cooler with a 1000 watt fogger worked all night. I used both dry and reg ice.
Be afraid , be very afraid !!

Cool, that coupled with the threads I had found on here...it seems that they are making a buck off folks who don't want to do the research or have the time to play with it. Thanks to all.
I am a BUILDER!!!!!!!<primal roar>
Now where is my silicone sealant?

Deathlord's design is by far the best chiller I've seen.. I used three last year.. One in a large Coleman cooler, one in a trashcan and one in a 5 gallon paint bucket. Depending on the size of your fogger and the area you need to effect, the design is stunningly versatile.
