Specifically, I am looking for Green Glow necklaces - either 20 or 22 inches.

I can get them for about $25.00 per tube of 50, but I am looking for a better price out there. Has anyone seen a good deal?

I need about 200 (4 tubes) each year. Might be willing to buy 2 year's worth to get a better price.

I would like to see if there is interest in a group buy on these, so I can get a good bulk price.

If I bought enough to make the 48 tube buy, are there enough people out there who want these that I could sell off (at cost) the ones I don't need?

I have found great deals on ebay.

I also learned that it's not always a good idea to buy glow sticks for next year... I did that before and got lots of duds the 2nd year. I guess the type of glow stick matters... ones for survival might be more durable.

Any takers? I would sell them at cost (Cost is 9.50 per tube plus whatever portion of the original shipping charge is attributed to each tube) plus actual shipping to you.

I haven't done the exact math, but it would probably amount to 2 or 3 dollars in shipping charges, probably less per tube.

I bought a ton of glow bracelets from glowgranny.com. I am sure they had necklaces too. The ones I bought were $24.99 for 200 bracelets and that included tax and shipping. Great deal!

I just looked up glowgranny. The best price I saw on that site came out to about $16.00 per tube.

The source I saw is pretty good. If I order the 48 Tubes, (50 necklaces per tube) the cost is 9.50 per tube. The shipping comes to $49.50 for the entire lot.

That breaks down to $1.03 per tube.

So if we did a group buy, your cost for each tube you would buy would be $10.53 plus whatever it costs to ship that tube from me to you.

I would place the order, get all the tubes, then ship them out to whoever wants them from this board.

so far, that is the cheapest bulk price I have seen, but you can't get that price without ordering a ton! So how many of you give out glow necklaces?

There are auctions on ebay for 600 for $99.99, with $59.95 shipping. The shipping is absurd, but in the end the glow neclaces are .27 each if you factor it all together.

That's 13.33 for a tube of 50. Not cheap, but you wouldn't have to order in bulk.

There are smaller auctions where they average coming out o .31 each.

As another poster said, the Dollar Tree sometimes has glowsticks at a good deal. When we went to the beach, I bought tubes of glowsticks there... 25 came in a tube for 1.00. Can't beat that! They were about 2 spaghetti thick, but the kids didn't care.
