I went to a Halloween Club in the LA area this last week. I found some plastic wall decorations that are three skulls either in a row horizontally or vertically. They were about 4.50 each.
These things are perfect because the back side is negative and just a perfect mold for plaster of paris, latex, or great foam (if you have a release agent you trust). I bought two of the horizontals for my casting.
They are made by Monster Mansion but the rubies.com website is what is on the packaging.

The picture may not load but I could see it when I enlarged it by using the enlarge link.
SO COOL!!!!! The people at the store were laughing at me as I explained why these are so cool...

yeah, most people just don't "get" us.
home depot... "what's all that pvc for?" "you need HOW many cans of great stuff?" "why do you want EXPIRED carpet latex adhesive?"
walmart... "why so much black fabric?"
anyway, those are real detailed. will make a great mold!"Trick or treat" is not a greeting, it's an ultimatum ~ Spats

Batfly,
You must go to the same stores that I do and hit the same sales people. I get the same exact questions.
We are so misunderstood.

You guys think YOU get strange looks and questions....trying buying that same stuff in the Netherlands where very few people even know what halloween is.
I'm making a costume for Pieter where I work. The women asked what I was making...so I told them a halloween costume....a mad scientist costume...even showed them a pic. Only one woman seemed to get it. She watches as the world turns and they just recently had a halloween party on the show (the one where BJ Green goes after Katie...yes we are a few years behind lol). The rest of the women just seem to look at me like I'm the one with a psychiatric problem

Yep, same here. Last year we drove almost 2 hours to a Sam's to buy the animated witch w/ cauldron. When I got there I called my dad in FL and asked if he wanted one. He said yes so we had 2 on the flatbed cart and had just checked out when my cell rang. It was my sister in AL. She wanted one. We went back and got another and checked it out at the same register.
Now we are in the parking lot trying to get these bitches ... oooops, er, I mean WITCHES in the truck when the phone rings ... again! It's my dad. He says to get an extra in case his doesn't work (lots of folks were having trouble with them).
Off we go and buy another using ... yep ... the same checkout!
Those people thought we were nuttier than a walnut sundae.
